The van will transfer us to within 35 km. of Cao Lanh from Saigon, a distance of 165 kms. We go by van because the area around Saigon is built-up and there is much traffic. We use the 4 hours for getting to know each other and for the orientation to Cycling Viet Nam, and for our first Vietnamese meal on the road. When we reach Cao Lanh, there is enough time for us to explore the town if you like.

| We will sleep in a 3-star hotel in Cao Lanh town, then get up a bit early for breakfast. The van will then transfer us to Xeo Quit, the restored National Liberation Front (NLF) headquarters for sightseeing.
After enjoying the scenery, we will ride in the van to Voi Lua junction, from where we then get out of the van and bike the 2 km. to the dock! but we only cycle as much as we want to, the van goes with us the whole trip. |
