The van will transfer us to Nha Trang from Saigon, a distance of 420 kms. We go by van because the area around Saigon is built-up and there is much traffic. We use the time for getting to know each other and for the orientation to Cycling Viet Nam, and for our first Vietnamese meals on the road. When we reach Nha Trang, there is enough time for us to explore the town if you like.
We will sleep in a 2-star hotel in Nha Trang city, then get up a bit early for breakfast. The van will then transfer us to a T-junction 3 km. away. |

| We then get out of the van and start biking! It is 35 kms to the part of Bai Dai then we can have some seafood there.The van goes with us the whole trip. When we get back, if there is enough time we will cycle to visit Ponaga Tower, Nui Church and Long Son Pagoda that are very popular in Nha Trang. Sleep in Nha Trang. |

The next day, we will ride in Van about 100 kms to Phu Yen province. On the way, there so many things for you to experience that you can not see in other pronvinces. To reach Phu Yen, the traffic is sometimes heavy, so sightseeing from the van is the best solution. But the landscape changes continuously. You won't get bored over this distance. You are on a dry road--then suddenly the verdant belt appears in front of your eyes! |
| Mountains, trees, rivers, large fields and islands. All this creates such a pleasant feeling for each of us. As soon as we get to Phu Yen, you will realize the big difference with large roads but not many people. |
