Viet Nam's Central Coast

Nha Trang to Tuy Hoa  Landscapes  The Way To Get There

Tuy Hoa, the provincial capital of Phu yen, is a small town, about 120 km. north of Nha Trang and 536 km from Ho Chi Minh City.Tuy Hoa Town is situated on the banks of the mouth of the Da Rang River. The river is 300 km long and its source starts in the Central Highlands to the west of the province. The width of the river is between 1 and 3 km. A bridge spans the Da Rang River and connects the town to the other side.

It is petit but it has all kinds of attractive sites such as: towers, pagodas, churches, waterfalls, islands and quiet beaches. Vung Ro is a regionally-known tourist center, about 25 km south of the town. This place is famous for its numerous beautiful offshore islands. Especially the countryside : if Nha Trang has a fishing village, then Tuy Hoa has a very special village named "The Farming Village".

Population: 823,500 people (2002).  Ethnic groups: Viet (Kinh), Cham, BaNa, Ede. Provincial Capital: Tuy Hoa town.  Dictricts: Dong Xuan, Son Hoa, Son Nguyen, Song Cau,Tuy An...etc. People work as farmers in their daily lives.
Tuy Hoa is an agricutural town so we will see many large fields, rivers, mountains, beaches, natural landscapes. You may say, you can also see the same sceneries in other provinces but it is totally different.
town's view

There are 2 main reasons: Firstly, their landscapes haven't been destroyed by commercial tourism and the sencond is: you hardly see any foreignor here. When i say so it doesn't mean that they don't want to come to Tuy Hoa-- it isn't written on guide book. We operate here because that is what Cycling Viet Nam about. So you will feel and realize the differences here especially local people's attitudes.

If we decide to go cycling on the Central Coast we will start from Nha Trang.

You may wonder what we see and how far we can cycle from Nha Trang to Tuy Hoa
